For FBIN associates and their dependents over 18, Paloma Health membership is provided at no cost through FBIN and coordinated with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.

This includes access to thyroid specialists, nutritionists, health coaches, and a care manager. If in-person care is needed, Paloma Health can connect you to in-network providers.

To book an online appointment, visit Paloma Health and create an account, which will link you to your no cost FBIN benefit. Answer a few questions about your medical history and provide thyroid lab results from the last four months.

If you need new lab tests, you can request a lab order from your Paloma physician or order an At-Home Thyroid Test Kit through your account. Once your labs are updated and your appointment is scheduled, you'll receive a link to connect with your doctor via email and in your Paloma Health account.

Your Paloma Health doctor will personalize and prescribe your thyroid medications and send them to your chosen pharmacy. Typically, your medication will be ready for pickup at your local retail pharmacy the same day.

Your Paloma physician will communicate any dose changes to your pharmacy of choice. Most of the time, your medication will be ready for pick up at your local retail pharmacy same-day

You'll have live visits via video call, which allows for detailed conversations with your physician. After your first visit, you can also chat with your doctor through the app or website. For your visits you will need a computer or smart phone with good WIFI, a camera and microphone.

Paloma Health is for anyone over 18 diagnosed with hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, or those who have had their thyroid removed or treated with radiation. We provide at-home test kits, thyroid specialists, and health coaches to help manage your condition effectively.

Our care team includes endocrinologists, integrative health and functional medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, and Registered Dietitians. You can choose the provider you want to see.

Paloma Health will coordinate your care with Galileo Primary care after each visit. If you have a Primary Care physician outside of Galileo please ensure you list your primary care physician during your intake.

No. You can see your Paloma Health doctor as often as needed to feel your best and find the right care for you. Most people follow up 6-8 weeks after a change in their medication and once stable, every 6 months to a year thereafter.

Privacy is key to Paloma Health. Paloma Health complies with all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations and encrypts all data. Paloma Health will not share patient data outside of patient care coordination.

If additional testing is required at outside labs, you should use an in-network lab. You may be responsible for lab copays as defined by your Blue Shield medical benefit.

Paloma Health provides care and content in English. Care managers can communicate in Spanish and French. Some Paloma Health doctors can provide care in Spanish. Translation services can be used if needed.
