Why I am passionate about treating patients with hypothyroidism.
As a patient with congenital hypothyroidism I personally have had interest in optimized care for myself and this has translated into the desire to share that passion and knowledge with the patients I treat professionally.
My approach to treating hypothyroidism is...
I like to look at my care as a team approach between myself and my patient. I am open to what you as a patient have learned and researched, open to discuss all options, and open to looking as all possible solutions. Whenever possible I prefer to optimize all aspects of health (diet/nutrition, exercise, supplementation) in addition to traditional pharmacologic treatment of thyroid disease.
