Dr. Matthew Roberson is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with 18 years of experience caring for thyroid patients using a whole-body approach. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
While he has been a practicing physician since 2003, he made the change to telemedicine full-time in 2020 and believes that this is the future of patient care.
Dr. Roberson has a particular interest in treating hormonal imbalances and treating people with thyroid issues like hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) and Hashimoto's disease (autoimmune disorder). After many experiences with thyroid patients who did not receive quality medical care due to single lab numbers, Dr. Roberson attended a conference in 2012 that changed the way he practices medicine.
His practice is holistic and personalized, focused on total well-being, rather than numbers on thyroid blood tests alone. He looks at the whole patient by assessing symptoms and lifestyle in addition to reviewing labs to offer the best treatment plan and care for each person. Dr. Roberson knows that improving thyroid health can make a noticeable and positive change in a patient's quality of life.
